1 Day Child Observation Training

This training course is suitable for childcare settings such as nursery, pre-school, child minders and nannies. The course can be delivered in your own setting or from a local venue. We require a minimum of 10 delegates and can cater for 16 maximum per group.

The training is approximately 5 hours and is expected to incorporate the bespoke needs of the delegates attending, but will include the importance of observation, facts to consider, methods of observing, recording and evaluating observations. A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the course.

Fire Awareness Training

The training lasts 1 to 2 hours and is suitable for all staff in all industries. It helps employers meet their legal responsibility to train all members of staff initially (on employment) and periodically in fire safety, as per Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It can also be used as a refresher for those who have attended a course in the past. The syllabus covers areas such as the prevention of fire and actions in the event of fire.

Stimulating and Challenging Environments for Early Years

This 1 day course (approximately 5 hours) is suitable for childcare settings such as nursery, pre-school, child minders and nannies.

Inspections have highlighted the need to provide a stimulating and challenging environment to support learning in the early years. This course explores ideas, demonstrating how this can be achieved and meet individual needs. This course covers:

• Understanding what we mean by differentiation and how to achieve this for all children
• Developing ideas to support spontaneous learning
• Developing monitoring skills to measure how effective your provision is in delivering challenge for all
• Relating this to age and stage
• Practical ideas for achieving a stimulating and challenging environment

Supporting Children’s Understanding of the World in Early Years

This 1 day course (approximately 5 hours) is suitable for childcare settings such as nursery, pre-school, child minders and nannies.
