Hampshire Academy Training is a Southampton-based training provider, offering learners and employers a range of CPD short courses for the early years and childcare sector.

The majority of our face to face early years courses are delivered in Southampton. However, we also offer training in your own environment and bespoke learning solutions, enabling us to meet the needs of early years providers across Hampshire.

Hampshire Academy Training work closely with fully registered and qualified staff to deliver accredited first aid training across Hampshire.

Jeanette Walker

Director/Trainer/Assessor

Jeanette has worked in the childcare and education sector for over 30 years, gaining a wealth of experience in helping adults achieve their developmental goals. She has worked as a trainer and assessor in Southampton and Hampshire for 15 years supporting learners in childcare, supporting teaching and learning in schools and play work qualifications. Living and working locally has given Jeanette the knowledge to support the childcare sector with training through an in-depth understanding of local needs.

Her roots in Southampton have given her an invaluable insight into the practical requirements of the childcare sector, supported by the understanding of local needs she has acquired over the past decade living and working in Hampshire.

Jeanette has gained invaluable experience working with local colleges including Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, Fareham College and Eastleigh College during her 15 years as an assessor. Passionate about improving standards within childcare, she continually strives to ensure the service provided by Hampshire Academy Training is of the highest quality, attending regular training and continued practical hours annually to maintain the quality of advice and delivery of training.
